Thales Night Vision Displays With Touch

Black Cat Displays have been producing custom monitors and displays for Thales for over 12-years. Thales invited us to design a 7-inch and 17-inch NVIS unit for use in their flight simulators.

We designed both units to Thales specification which involved a strip-down of the LCD to have a green NVG (aka NVIS) filter fitted internally. The touchscreen is fitted over the re-built LCD and assembled into a custom housing.

The 7-inch unit was very compact and needed careful thought to make sure everything fit. Both units have internal power auto-ranging power supplies making the connection easy worldwide and are built rugged for use in full flight simulators.
